Star Favorite Symbol in Google Personalized Search

Today we found a star symbol in Google search results beside the title of every result. It only appears if you are logged in to your gmail account.  For example check with the below screen shot. Google has released this feature in March 2010 and it’s disappeared after few days.

In Gmail we use star symbol to mark important favorite mails. Here also star symbol refers to mark the important favorite results for future reference. For example have a look at following screen shot where we marked star for few results and see how the favorite star symbol results are appearing in top of the results page.

Let us see how long will Google keep this star favorite symbol in personal search results.
